Customer Reviews
Soaks up night leaks and looks nice under my bra!
I am currently three months postpartum, and I've been using these since about six weeks. They are by far my favorite nursing pads, and I've tried several, both cloth and disposable (eg. Bravado washable nursing pads, some hemp discs, Natracare, Johnson's and Lansinoh disposables).
I am a small-breasted woman, and I wear a nursing sleep bra as my every-day bra, so the contour of the nursing pads really shows through. These pads have a larger circumference than others I've tried. They have a nice shape, even after several times through the washer/dryer, and with the lace, they look nice under my shirts.
Granted, my leaking had slowed down by the time I first used these, but they've done an excellent job of containing milk overflow during the day and at night, and I have heavy supply and an overactive letdown.
Highly recommended.
Another helpful product from Dr. Brown
After reading reviews of other breast pads, I decided to try Dr. Brown's. They are large (good coverage) and absorbent (no leaks or damp feeling) without being too thick and noticeable. You can easily fold them out of the way in your bra cup when nursing. The liner is a comfy jersey-like material and the outer "lace" helps to keep the pad from sliding around in your bra. They come in a package of 4 with a small net bag so you can throw them in the washing machine. I haven't used other breast pads apart from the Medela disposables (which are individually wrapped -- too wasteful for my taste) but I'm not tempted after buying these.
Reliable Reusable Nursing Pad for Day
This is my 2nd time around breastfeeding, and I decided to try reusable nursing pads. I was hesitant, fearful of excessive leak-through. But, these have been great. Not too thick. I like the contour and size - helps them to fit well, not be so bulky and don't show through clothing. I only use them during the day though; I use a wool pad in the evenings. I also like that these came with a net laundry bag for storage and laundry.
