Buy new: $120.00 What a great idea! You can look in on your little one w/out having to go into his room and risk waking him up. I don't know how mothers survive with just a sound monitor! I highly recommend a monitor that has a portable video screen. We are constantly taking the unit with us around the house.

I liked my baby in my room for the first few months. W/a port-cradle, I could move it around the house 4 daytime naps to condition the baby 4 noise. BUT, a cradle set is UNNECESSARY as newborns don't move (thus the bumper is useless & you can't use the quilt b/c of SIDS). They look nice, but I recommend just buying sheets & saving money for a crib set :).

Buy new: $49.00 These are considered the best & are the only ones I have used. I've only had a couple of blowouts - which friends w/other diapers have regularly. Start with a cpl sml packs of newborns as your baby may grow out of'm quickly. Buy 1 lg box 1's (the 216 pk). Any xtra expense for pampers over generic is recovered by less ruined outfits, less laundry, & less hassle.

Buy new: $11.99 Cloth diapers make the BEST burp cloths. They are cheap, soft to wipe off the baby's face with (don't buy gauze though), they are large so you can cover larger areas if your baby has mammoth volumes of spit up (mine did!), and they can be used to partially cover your breast when breastfeeding in mixed company. Buy lots, and lots and lots unless you want to do laundry constantly.

Buy new: $24.99 I have a boppy, and I couldn't have nursed w/o it. However, I think if I were to do it over again, I would chose a "Breastfriend" brand nursing pillow. I hesitate to recommend it though, because I have never used it.

I use this w/the Combi Connection carseat, but really any of these universal car seat carrier strollers are AWESOME. This one is particularly nice because it folds into a really small size, it is light, and very easy to carry. I like this way better than the HUGE cumbersome travel systems!

Once your baby can sit up and you want to return to the real world of dining out - this hook-on highchair is a life saver! It is way more comfortable than the wooden kind, and puts the baby at the right height - no matter how tall or short the table is (it even works great at a sushi bar!). Dining out became a joy once we bought this.
